Future Market of the DSC Self-Powered Module

Date:2020/7

Gartner, the world’s leading research and advisory company, had predicted that the IoT devices would increase to 26 billion units in the year 2021. On the other hand, a report by ABI Research Company of America stated that the global BLE-related IoT devices would reach billions. As the DSC module supplies power for those who rely on disposable batteries, this innovative product may avoid intense red-ocean competition and add value to cooperatives by gaining more profit. TDP had tested the self-powered module and planned out three marketing channels/ strategies with several greater China customers. The potential of the TDP and DSC modules is not to be underestimated.

Current Issues of the IoT Wireless Sensors

Date:2020/7

A lot of changes and new challenges have been brought out as the era of IoT has risen. The most important and difficult issue is the power supply and power endurance. Currently, most wireless sensors (ex: locators, and thermometers) rely on the power of disposable batteries. However, this method of power supply has caused tremendous inconvenience in maintenance. Huge costs (especially human resources) are required for checking on and changing batteries. In addition, disposable batteries have caused serious environmental pollution. Not to mention that the power stability of the sensors would affect the solidity of the system domain. Although manufacturers have been producing innovative applications and products, the user experience of customers and system functions would still be limited by the series of problems that disposable batteries have caused.
